ZODIAC TEA
Zodiac Tea provides top quality black tea blends from around the world. Tea has been used throughout history for fortune telling, cermonies, medicinal use, and in general is often touted for mysterious or healing properties. This is reflected in the company’s branding: the label evokes the typographic style of an old almanac, with a decorative background pattern composed of old astrological charts, printed in black ink on metallic black paper.
OLD MACDONALD’S FARM
Tasked with designing packaging for “Old MacDonald's organic produce,” I used vibrant colors and bold typography to create a brand that looks fun, fresh, and appetizing. The typography is inspired by woodblock typography like that of print shops like Hatch Show Print, to give the food brand an Americana vibe.
‘ONO COFFEE PORTER
Tasked with created a location-specific craft beer package, I turned my sights to Kona, Hawai'i an island known for its coffee beans. The name, 'Ono, comes from the Hawaiian word for “tasty” or “delicious”. I created an illustrated label with a tiki motif chomping down on a coffee bean, and gave myself an extra challenge by incorporating the logotype into the face, punctuation and all!
BLOCK TALK
Block Talk is a bilingual building block game for children who are learning Spanish and English! Each block has a word, an illustration, the word in Spanish and English, and a drop cap for both languages. Using cut paper, I illustrated over 30 drop caps and objects for this project!
