One Giant Leap

Tasked with creating a promotional project that celebrated a state, I chose to focus on the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Alabama. This museum celebrates the state's contributions to the American space journey and also embodies national pride as a whole. The end result is a completely illustrated and hand-lettered poster book inspired by outsider art. It tells the story of the museum— from its founding, to its debt crisis, to its recovery— and covers the programs and events the museum is known for. The book is a call to action for not only Alabamans, but all Americans to celebrate this national treasure of a museum.
